for EMA and CADfix Software
License Keys - Obtaining and Installing
Please note that EMA3D and MHarness use one software license key system (Rainbow Sentinel License Manager) while CADfix uses another (FLEXlm). Therefore, for example, installation of license keys for EMA3D and CADfix involves installation of two separate license keys, which use different machine-locking information.
Although EMA3D and MHarness use the same license key system and the same machine-locking information, EMA3D and MHarness standalone license keys are installed separately (each in its respective application folder). EMA3D and MHarness floating network license keys can be installed on the same Rainbow SLM license server (if they are to be used on the same network).
General procedure for obtaining and installating a license key:
- Generate machine-locking information for host machine(s) (standalone keys) or license server (floating keys)*
- send locking information to EMA
- receive license key(s) by email
- install license key(s) in correct location(s)*
- for floating keys, re-start the license server to pick up the new keys**
